Clinical Reporting Application Introduction
                                        Introduction
Synapse Advanced Reporting (AR) is a suite of applications
and services that provides the ability to generate comprehensive, structured
reports using Clinical Reporting Application. Synapse ensures that patient and study context
is always maintained between the application and Advanced Reporting.

Advanced Reporting is comprised of the following applications:
- Clinical Reporting Application (CRA) is a web application for creating and modifying structured reports.
 - CRA provides communication with networked hemodynamic and HL7 systems for reports that can be prepopulated with information captured at the point of care, simplifying the review and completion process.
 - Physicians and technicians are the primary users of this application.
 - Clinical Reporting Application
is also referred to as Advanced Reporting.
 - Configuration Manager (CM) is a web application for defining data elements included in the report content, such as: comments, lists, measurements, and definitions.
 - CM performs administrative functions pertaining to Clinical Reporting Application and configure: system features, preferences and settings, General Purpose Importer, data and inventory list imports, and report recipients.
 - Currently FUJIFILM personnel (Clinical Consultants and Project Engineers) are the primary users.
 - General Purpose Importer (GPI) is a Windows service that runs on a server that accepts discrete data, such as measurements (from an ultrasound cart) and waveforms (from a stress cart) from various modalities.
 - GPI monitors shared folders for new files that contain data being imported into the Synapse database and matched with the existing studies.
 - GPI inserts data and waveforms into a study for viewing and reporting in Synapse.
