Handling Concurrency
Introduction
When you open an unread study, a Lock (concurrency) icon displays in the Worklist. This lock is used to warn other users who attempt to open that study.
When you initiate a dictation workflow for a study, the study remains locked for a configured period of time after the study no longer displays.
When you initiate the skip workflow to navigate from the current unread study, the concurrency lock is released.
When you exit an unread study by closing the Viewer window using the X (the standard Windows Close button), depending on the site configuration, the study will either be unlocked or retain the lock.
