Importing Documents
Introduction
Import documents such as scanned Adobe .pdf files, Microsoft Word files, and other files, to add them to a study. View the imported files in Synapse on the Documents pane in PowerJacket. The Worklist displays a Documents icon to alert you when at least one document exists for the study. You can drag and drop to import a document or multiple documents at one time to a study.
Steps
- Do one of the following to open the PowerJacket Documents pane:

Right-click a study to open the context menu. Click Documents. |
Open the Documents pane in PowerJacket. |
In PowerJacket, click Documents in the Information pane. |
- Open an Explorer window and navigate to the file you want to import.
- Hold down the left-mouse button to select the file (or files) you want to import and drag it to the Documents pane.
- Click Yes when prompted to confirm your selection or selections.

If you have both of the Information panes open to the Documents pane, changes will not be synchronized until a PowerJacket refresh is performed. To view changes in both Document panes, manually refresh the PowerJacket page, or navigate away from the PowerJacket page and then back again. |
Results
The selected file is now available in the study. The Documents pane displays the name of the imported file, the name of the user who imported it, and the date and time of the import.
