Importing Lesions
Introduction
Synapse imports lesion data from a hemodynamic system into a report. Synapse adds lesions directly to the vessel diagram, and imports the associated properties into the Lesions properties panel.
Lesions that Synapse imports into a vessel diagram display in the vessel segment of the corresponding imported hemodynamic data. You should confirm that the exact location of the lesion within the vessel segment is correct and adjust the lesion position if necessary.
Initial Percentage of Stenosis of a Lesion
When initially imported, the corresponding value for percent stenosis of a lesion displays in the callout on the vessel diagram and in the Aneurysms and Lesions properties panel.
- If you manually add a lesion to the coronary vessel diagram or if the pre-stenosis values are not defined in the imported data, Synapse initially shows the stenosis as 70% with a TIMI flow of 3. You can edit the percent stenosis and TIMI Flow of each lesion through the properties or directly in the callout editor, if the callout is present in the diagram.
- If you manually add a lesion to the PV vessel diagram or if the pre-stenosis values are not defined in the imported data, Synapse shows the stenosis as 70%. You can edit the actual percent stenosis in the properties or directly in the callout editor, if the callout is present in the diagram.
