Using Canned Notes

Introduction

Canned notes are created by your System Administrator and consist of phrases and sentences that are frequently used within the Notes pane in PowerJacket. Your System Administrator adds and arranges the available options for your site. Using canned notes provides an efficient method of using commonly typed responses with a one-click selection. Canned notes can be edited (once you add them to the Notes pane) so you can supplement a custom entered note.

Steps

  1. Use the right-click context menu and open PowerJacket to the Notes tab to view the Notes pane.
  2. Click the arrow in the Canned Notes header to display the drop-down list of options. Hover over the options to display a tooltip that provides the Canned Notes textual information that will populate the Notes tab.
  3. Click to select preferred the canned note to add it to the Notes text box. Once added, you can modify the text as needed.
  4. Optional: Repeat steps 2 and 3 to add as many canned notes as needed. (Canned notes can only be added one at a time.)
