Viewing Study Information

Introduction

From the PowerJacket, you can display the Study Info pane for a selected study, which contains information pertinent to the study, such as Referring Physician, Admission Date, and Current Patient Location. In addition, if the ExtendedOrderInfo.txt file is attached to the study, the Additional Info field will display the contents of the file.

Note:

When viewing the patient's age, be aware that the PowerJacket banner displays the current age of the patient, while the Study Info pane displays the age of the patient at the time of the study.

The patient age will display in the following format:

  • If less than 3 months, age displays in days
  • If between 3 months and 3 years, age displays in months
  • If between 3 years and 18 years, age displays in years and months using the form aY bM (where a is years, b is months)
  • If older than 18 years, age displays in years

     

You can configure your PowerJacket settings to automatically display the Study Info pane when you initially open a study and skip the step required to open the pane. See Choosing PowerJacket - MDS Settings.

Steps

  1. With PowerJacket open, select a study.
  2. From the Information pane drop-down menu, select Study Info to open the pane.

If you selected Study Info as your default view in PowerJacket settings, the Study Info tab is already open. See Choosing PowerJacket - MDS Settings.
