Viewing an Epiphany Study
Introduction
You can view a list of Epiphany studies using the Global Worklist > All Studies Global worklist option after you configure the Epiphany datasource. You can hover over the Report icon in the All Studies Global worklist to view the Report Impression of an Epiphany study.
When you select an Epiphany study, you have several options for viewing the study and report when the Epiphany datasource is enabled:
- Epiphany Viewer: This option allows you to view and edit an Epiphany study in the Epiphany viewer.
- PowerJacket: This option allows you to view and download the most recent report from the Epiphany datasource. You can open the Epiphany CardioServer from PowerJacket, where you can edit the report.
You cannot simultaneously view an Epiphany study in the Epiphany viewer and the Synapse Viewer.
When the View All Thumbnails icon 
is selected from the Worklist and PowerJacket, the Epiphany logo displays to indicate there are studies on the Epiphany datasource.
Prerequisites
To access the Epiphany datasource, you must comply with the following prerequisites:
- Configure the Data Source setting for Epiphany. See the Configure Data Source section in Choosing PowerJacket - MDS Settings.
- Have a licensed version of Epiphany software installed and configured on your network.
- Have a trusted website configured for the Epiphany viewer.
About this Task
After completing the prerequisites, you can perform any of the following applicable steps.
The following steps describe the available options for opening an Epiphany study using the Epiphany CardioServer datasource or the home datasource and Epiphany report options.
Steps
- To configure the Epiphany datasource, right-click Global Worklists and select Epiphany in the Configure Data Source dialog box and click Save. For additional information, see Modifying Global Worklist Datasources.
- After you select the Epiphany datasource, complete any of the following applicable steps.

Worklist Context Menu Options:
- Open the Epiphany CardioServer.
From the Worklist, double-click or right-click an Epiphany study and select Open Epiphany CardioServer.
The study opens in the Epiphany viewer in a new browser window using the Epiphany CardioServer datasource.
- Open an Epiphany study in PowerJacket.
From the Worklist, right-click an Epiphany study and select Open PowerJacket.
The Epiphany report is minimized in the Report Pane of PowerJacket where you can view, save, print, or download the report using the Adobe PDF Viewer options. See Viewing Reports in PowerJacket.
- Open an Epiphany report.
From the Worklist, right-click an Epiphany study and select Reports.
PowerJacket Context Menu Options:
- Open the Epiphany CardioServer.
From the PowerJacket studylist, right-click an Epiphany study and select Open Epiphany CardioServer.
The study opens in a separate browser window from the Epiphany CardioServer datasource.
- Right-click Global Worklists and select your home datasource in the Configure Data Source dialog box and click Save. For additional information, see Modifying Global Worklist Datasources.
Study Status
As you change the status of a report on the Epiphany CardioServer, the study status in Synapse updates as follows:
