Color Series Management

Introduction

If your workstation includes a mix of grayscale monitors and color monitors, Synapse automatically displays the color series on your color monitor in a Series Viewer when you open a study that contains a color series in the currently displayed reading protocol step.

The color series management feature is available only for Thin Component and works in conjunction with Configuring Image Display Settings .

Color Management

If you open a color series from the Series Picker, Synapse automatically displays the color series on your color monitor in a Series Viewer, and Synapse automatically places the cursor in the Series Viewer. Once in the Series Viewer, you can navigate to additional color images.

If all of your workstations monitors are color, the color series does not open in a Series Viewer. The color series opens on the appropriate color monitor as determined by the reading protocol.

If your workstation does not have a color monitor, Synapse has no special handling for color images. Synapse manages the color images the same as grayscale images.
