Moving Studies Between Collections Folders

Introduction

In some cases, you might need to move or copy studies or Snapshots from one Collections folder to another. You can add and delete the studies and Snapshots saved to a Collections folder you created or one that is public.

Note:

You can add any study or Snapshot to more than one Collections folder, but you can only add them to one folder at a time.

Steps

1. Open the Collections folder that contains the study you want to copy or move to another of your Collections folders.
2. Click to select the study or studies and do one of the following:

If you want to do this...	Choose this option...
Drag and drop to move a study (or studies) to a Collections folder.	Click to select the study (or studies) and drag them to the Collections folder of your choice.
Use the right-click menu to move a study (or studies) to a Collections folder.	Use the following method to move studies from one Collections folder to another. Open the Collections folder that contains the study you want to move. Right-click to display the context menu and select Add to Collection. A sub-menu of Collections folders displays. The My Collections folder displays at the top of the list, followed by the Collections folders you created. Public Collections folders created and shared by other users display below the line. Select the Collections folder you want to move the study to.
Copy a study (or studies) from one Collections folder into another Collections folder, so the study (or studies) exists in both locations.	Right-click to display the context menu and select Add To Collection. A sub-menu of your Collections folders displays.

Results

• If you moved a study, the study now resides in the Collections folder you just moved it to.
• If you copied a study, the study now resides in more than one Collections folder.
• The studies in your Collections folder display with the most recently viewed study at the top of the list.
