Using ICD Controls
Introduction
Use the ICD control to capture pre-procedure and post-procedure indications and their corresponding ICD codes in a clinical report. You can either manually add text or select an ICD code from a drop-down list. You cannot add more than one empty row.
Synapse supports displaying the following ICD information in an Advanced Reporting (AR) report:
- Description only
- Code and Description
Steps
- In the Indications report section, click Add New. Synapse adds a new row.
- Do one of the following:
- Enter text in the text field.
- Press Enter to add the free text.
- Note: Synapse does not add free text entries to the ICD list.
- Type at least two characters to display a list of potential matches.
- Select an ICD code or description from the drop-down list. Synapse automatically populates the code and description columns.
- Click Delete in the row that you want to remove.
