Using TOMTEC-ARENA

Introduction

You can launch TOMTEC-ARENA for selected images or all images in a configured study from the Viewer.

Prerequisites

To use TOMTEC-ARENA, you must comply with the following prerequisites:

Have Synapse Desktop Agent installed on your workstation.
Have a licensed version of TOMTEC-ARENA software installed and configured on your workstation.

Note:

The context menu options for launching TOMTEC-ARENA are only available when the integration plugin is active in Desktop Agent for configured procedures.
If you change the TOMTEC-ARENA settings from active to inactive, either refresh the browser or the Viewer.

Steps

Open a study with configured images from the Worklist.
Select one of the following options for launching TOMTEC-ARENA:

Launch TOMTEC-ARENA from the Viewer Icon context menu for selected images.	Right-click an image and hover over the TOMTEC-ARENA icon to display the menu options, and select Launch on This Image.
Launch TOMTEC-ARENA from the Viewer Icon context menu for all images.	Right-click an image and hover over the TOMTEC-ARENA icon to display the menu options, and select Launch on All Images.
Launch TOMTEC-ARENA from the Viewer List context menu for the current image.	Right-click an image to display the List context menu and select Clinical Applications > TOMTEC-ARENA > Launch on This Image.
Launch TOMTEC-ARENA from the Viewer List context menu for all images.	Right-click an image to display the List context menu and select Clinical Applications > TOMTEC-ARENA > Launch on All Images.
Launch TOMTEC-ARENA from the Series Picker context menu for the selected images.	Press CTRL + left mouse click to select the check box for one or more thumbnails in the Series Picker. Right-click one of the selected thumbnails to display the context menu and select TOMTEC-ARENA > Launch on Selected Images.
Launch TOMTEC-ARENA from the Series Picker context menu for all images.	Right-click a thumbnail in the Series Picker to display the context menu and select TOMTEC-ARENA > Launch on All Images.
Launch TOMTEC-ARENA from the Anywhere Series Picker context menu for the selected images.	Press CTRL + left mouse click to select the check box for one or more thumbnails in Anywhere Series Picker. Right-click a thumbnail to display the context menu and select TOMTEC-ARENA > Launch on Selected Images.
Launch TOMTEC-ARENA from the Anywhere Series Picker context menu for all images.	Right-click a thumbnail in Anywhere Series Picker to display the context menu and select TOMTEC-ARENA > Launch on All Images.

TOMTEC-ARENA

Use TOMTEC-ARENA to proceed with an advanced analysis, and then save the results to the DICOM Structured Report (SR) and DICOM Secondary (SC) files, which are then uploaded to Synapse. The file upload might take a few minutes. When Synapse receives the new content, the Arrival Notification icon displays.

Note:

Synapse displays a message if the file upload fails and attempts to resend the file. If any file uploads fail, the data and images files are copied to a 3rdpartyuploads directory in their respective Data or Images subdirectories. Synapse deletes files that are more than one day old and no further attempts to upload occur.

Do one of the following:
- In the Viewer, click Arrival Notification and refresh the Viewer to view the newly uploaded DICOM SR file in the Series Picker. See Using the DICOM SR/PDF Viewer.
- In the AR Report, view and make changes as needed. See Creating and Editing a Report.

Results

When TOMTEC-ARENA is launched again for a previously saved study, Synapse sends the TOMTEC-ARENA DICOM SR file along with any newly selected images to TOMTEC-ARENA for further analysis.
