Vessel Diagrams Overview

Introduction

Clinical Reporting Application (CRA) supports the use of detailed vessel diagrams to document angiographic procedure findings in a diagrammatic format. You can edit diagram figures that were added to a vessel diagram, such as the following:

  • Aneurysms
  • Vessels
  • Lesions
  • Grafts
  • Collaterals
  • Stents

The vessel diagram is an interactive application that can be used to edit imported data or manually add and edit new data.

Silverlight Carry Over Information

If a study contains Silverlight vessel diagrams, Synapse initially displays the Silverlight vessel diagrams in the report preview. When you click either PV or NIV diagram tabs, Synapse automatically converts the Silverlight vessel diagram with an updated vessel diagram and diagram figures and repopulates the report preview with the converted vessel diagram and diagram figures.

Note:

  • Silverlight diagram vessels that contain user-created vessels and any attached diagram figures to those user-created vessels do not carry over to the updated vessel diagram.
  • You must recreate those user-created vessels and the attached diagram figures in the updated vessel diagram.
  • Vessels deleted in Silverlight vascular diagrams will be restored when you load the updated vessel diagram.
  • If a study has an upgraded vessel diagram, do not use AutoSummary.

Additional Vessel Diagram Information

Use of the vessel diagram tools and controls requires that your assigned role is part of the report definition workflow. A diagram can be editable or read-only based on the assigned role. However, anyone can view the diagrams regardless of their role.

All of the data, entered or imported, is stored in the Synapse database. Data that is imported from external systems is based on site requirements. See your System Administrator for more information.

The following are the supported vessel diagrams:

  • Coronary
  • Peripheral Vascular (PV)
  • Non-Invasive Vascular

Working with Vessel Diagrams

Introduction

You can view and edit coronary and peripheral vascular (PV) vessel diagrams in the report Workspace. Vessel diagrams display in the report Preview when lesions or aneurysms are present or if there is data in a measurement callout in the diagram.

Resizing the Vessel Diagram

Introduction

The border separating the diagram and the properties panel is a resizing border that allows you to adjust the proportion of report Workspace dedicated to each of these sections. The size of the actual diagram is not affected by these adjustments. The diagram is hidden or displayed while the width of the properties panel is expanded or narrowed.

Steps

  1. To manually adjust the width of the properties section, hover over the border separating it from the diagram. The pointer changes to a double-headed arrow.
  2. Drag the border in either direction to adjust the size.
