Viewer Dictation Notifications

Introduction

Hover over the Microphone icon in the Viewer toolbar to view dictation tooltips described in the following table.

Scenarios

No dictation system is currently available.

  • The dictation plugins are disabled in Desktop Agent and the microphone is disabled.

The study is currently opened in a dictation system.

  • Synapse notified a dictation system about a study and the microphone is highlighted, but the functionality is disabled.

Notify dictation system (ALT + 4).
  • The microphone and the dictation plugins are enabled, but no study opened in the dictation system.
  • The microphone is enabled and some dictation plugins are enabled in Desktop Agent.

A study must have an accession number for PowerScribe notifications.

  • A procedure that is configured for dictation is launched without an accession number.

A study from this datasource must have a RIS Order ID for PowerScribe notification.

  • PowerScribe is configured for two or more datasources, and a procedure that is configured for dictation is launched with an accession number but without a RIS Study ID.

Dictation system is not available for Single Window Mode, Isolated Clinical Context, Search, or Cancelled Study.
  • The microphone is disabled.
  • The dictation system is not available for Single Window Mode, Isolated Clinical Context, or Search.

No dictation system is currently available based on the configuration or user privilege.
  • The microphone is disabled, and the dictation plugins are disabled in Desktop Agent.
  • The dictation system is configured, but the microphone is disabled.

  • The dictation privilege is not assigned to the user/role.
