Viewing AI Findings in the Viewer

Introduction

Synapse use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) provides quick access to enhanced information and findings. By leveraging specific algorithms, Synapse AI identifies and flags certain issues and conditions for a closer look.

  • A red title bar for the Thinklog card indicates there is a critical finding for a specific record.
  • When you open a study's AI findings directly from a Thinklog Card in the Worklist or PowerJacket, the Viewer opens in the normal layout with that single finding toggled on for the initial display.
  • When you open a study's AI findings directly from the Worklist, the Viewer displays as expected with AI Toggled Off.
  • AI findings are turned on for the initial display when you launch them from a Thinklog card.

  • When viewing AI results in the Viewer: if available, the Thinklog dynamically generates and displays the Summary Score, Summary Text, and Findings Score and Findings Text as a DICOM SEG Tooltip.

  • Click the AI icon in the overlay to view AI findings. See descriptions and steps below.

The following icons display.

Displaying a Single Finding

Note:

The number of available AI findings displays next to the AI  icon. For example, a study with four AI findings displays 1/4 next to the AI icon for the first finding.

If the Thinklog finding you click on is the second of the four images, the order in which you view the findings will start with that finding and follow the defined order.

To navigate through AI findings on an image or in a series, use the following shortcuts to view the additional AI findings:

  • Use the 6 shortcut key to turn on all of the AI findings. Press the 6 key twice to turn off AI findings.
  • Use the 7 shortcut key on the keyboard to toggle through the AI findings within an image, one at a time.
  • Use the 8 shortcut to find the next image in the series containing AI results.

Displaying Multiple Findings in the Viewport

Three options are available for how to view AI findings when you open a study from the Worklist or PowerJacket containing AI findings:

    • Use the 6 shortcut key to turn on all of the AI findings. Press the 6 key twice to turn off AI findings.
    • Use the 7 shortcut key on the keyboard to toggle through the AI findings within an image, one at a time.
    • Use the 8 shortcut to find the next image in the series containing AI results.

Viewing AI Findings Using the Slider Bar

  • A white AI icon indicates that there are AI findings in the series.
  • A green-backlit AI icon indicates that the current image contains AI findings.
  • If no AI findings exist in the image, the AI icon is grayed out.

Viewing AI Findings at the Series Level

If you are viewing AI images in 3D view, the AI icon displays the status of the findings at series level. Clicking the AI icon enables or disables all of the findings in the series.

Adjusting the AI Transparency

Introduction

The AI transparency percentage displays under the AI icon. (See an example in the note above.)

Steps

  • Adjust the findings transparency amount by either clicking and dragging the slide bar or typing a new value into the text box.
    • Supported values are 0 - 100.
    • The default transparency value for all modalities is 75%.
