What Study Icons Indicate

Introduction

In Synapse, the current study is the first study you just opened. Synapse uses nautical theme icons in color or in grayscale to distinguish studies from each other.

These icons help you instantly recognize what notes, documents, reports, or other study series belong to a particular study. For example, if a study has a red square with a white triangle in it, the study, the notes, the documents, and the reports associated with that study also have the same icon.

Study Icon Assignments

When you open the first study, Synapse assigns a yellow with black circle study icon to indicate that study is the current study. Each comparison of the current study is assigned a unique study icon.

Synapse assigns study icons when you:

  • Interact with a study such as opening a note.
  • Select a study in PowerJacket.
  • Compare a study to the current study (automatically or manually).
  • Select a study on the Series Picker Studylist.
