Distributing Reports in PowerJacket
Introduction
Synapse allows you to manually distribute reports.
- Manual report distribution is set up and managed by the System Administrator with Configuration Manager.
- Fax report distribution is enabled in SWAT.
Report Formats and Distribution Methods
Introduction
Synapse supports the following formats for report distribution:
- PDF/A file
- PDF file that conforms to ISO definition of a PDF
- Text file
- HL7 messages containing embedded reports
- HL7 messages containing only consumed inventory for recipients configured to receive HL7 messages
When report distribution is initiated, reports are converted to the file format required by each of the configured distribution channels.
One or more report distribution methods can be assigned to each recipient when configuring a recipient list; however, only one distribution report format can be specified for each distribution method.
Synapse supports the following report distribution methods:
- Fax
- HL7 Embedded: delivery of HL7 report information to an HL7 system is in accordance with clinical site requirements. Information can be sent using the following:
- PDF file
- Weblink to the clinical report
