Manual Report Distribution in PowerJacket

Introduction

Synapse allows you to manually distribute HL7 messages and reports to designated recipients of previously distributed reports from PowerJacket for Advanced Reporting (AR) procedures. Synapse also allows you to manually distribute fax messages and reports to designated recipients from PowerJacket for AR procedures, whether or not the report was previously distributed. This allows you to resubmit a report without amending it, which is useful in cases where a report was sent but not received.

You can perform manual HL7 or fax distribution from the PowerJacket Reports menu toolbar, located under the Report heading for AR procedures only.

Steps

Open an AR study in PowerJacket.
From the PowerJacket Reports menu toolbar, do one or more of the following:

Manually distribute an HL7 report from PowerJacket for previously distributed reports.	Click Manually Distribute HL7 Report . The configured HL7 recipient will be reinitiated for the previously distributed report. The report is sent in the same format as the original and contains only what was included in the finalized report. Note: The Manually Distribute HL7 Report icon is enabled only if a report has been previously distributed. If the report is not finalized or the report instance has been deleted, the Manually Distribute HL7 Report icon is disabled. For dual workflow reports where one report is finalized and the other is unread, the report is distributed after both workflows are finalized.
Manually distribute a fax report from PowerJacket.	Click Fax Manual Distribution . Note: The Fax Manual Distribution icon is enabled when a PDF snapshot is available. For dual workflow reports where one report is finalized and the other is unread and you finalize one of them, a PDF snapshot is created. If faxing is enabled in SWAT, the fax button is enabled in PowerJacket. From the Fax Recipients dialog box, search for one or more fax recipients by entering name or fax number information. Only recipients with fax numbers configured in SWAT are listed. Click OK to fax the AR report to the selected users.
Download AR report.	Click Download AR Report to obtain a copy of the report. Note: The Download AR Report icon is enabled when a PDF snapshot is available.

Click Manually Distribute HL7 Report .

Note:
- The Manually Distribute HL7 Report icon is enabled only if a report has been previously distributed. If the report is not finalized or the report instance has been deleted, the Manually Distribute HL7 Report icon is disabled.

Download AR report.

Click Download AR Report to obtain a copy of the report.
Note: The Download AR Report icon is enabled when a PDF snapshot is available.

Results

When the distribution request is validated, the report is distributed to the specified recipients.
