Ad Hoc Series Standardization
Introduction
Depending on your security privileges and on series standard mappings that might already exist, one of the following occurs.
- The series can be mapped to an existing standard if the mapping exists. You must have Administrator privileges to define standards mapping.
- If no standard mapping exists, a new modality-scope standard is automatically created based on the DICOM Series Description referenced in the viewport and the chosen series' DICOM Series Description is mapped to the new standard. You must have Administrator privileges to define standards mapping.
Mapping Requests Privilege
For users without Administrative privilege, a standard mapping request is automatically generated. Requested mappings appear in the SWAT tool for further processing by a user with Administrator privileges. You must have security privileges to request standards mappings (such as the Radiologist role).
If a standard is defined for both the dragged series and the missing series, the series appear in the viewport. A message displays indicating that the mapping cannot be made. If you do not have Administrator privileges, see your Synapse Administrator to resolve unexpected mapping problems.
