Adding a Saved Image to a Synapse Chat Session

Introduction

You have the option to add saved images to a Synapse Chat session.

  • Supported file types include JPEG and PNG.
  • You do not have to be logged into Synapse through the Desktop Agent to add a saved image.

Steps

  1. Click Synapse Chat .The Synapse Chat window displays.
  2. Navigate to the directory that includes the saved image you want to add to the chat.
  3. Drag the file to the text area of the live chat window. The following prompt displays: An attachment will be added to Synapse Chat.  Do you want to continue?

Note:

  • If you add multiple images with the same name and extension to a Synapse Chat session, Synapse displays the most recent image file, regardless of the file you select.
  • If you close Synapse Chat, you can open it from the Worklist, PowerJacket, or the Viewer.
  1. Select Yes to add the saved image or select Cancel to close the prompt and not add the saved image.

Note:

Supported file types for this feature include JPEG and PNG. If you attempt to add other file types, a prompt displays in the chat window to let you know that any other file types are not supported.

Results

The image you selected now displays in your chat session.
