Automatic RP Step Creation

Introduction

Synapse automatically creates or removes reading protocol steps. This allows you to view the subsequent series of a study in the same preferred page layout.

Two Monitor Reading Protocol Example

For example, if you have a dual-monitor workstation and you open a nine-series study with a reading protocol in a 2x2 layout, Synapse automatically creates a new reading protocol step in the Reading Protocol Step drop-down list. The original 2x2 layout is used and labeled 2x2 (2) to display the ninth series in the study as shown in the following images.

Synapse displays the first eight series in the 2x2 layout:

Monitor 1

Monitor 2

Series 1

Series 2

Series 5

Series 6

Series 3

Series 4

Series 7

Series 8

When you select the 2x2(2) layout from the step drop-down list or the reading protocol step navigation arrow, Synapse displays the following:

Monitor 1

Monitor 2

Series 9

If you change page layout in the first monitor to 2x1, Synapse automatically creates a new reading protocol step based on the original 2x2 layout:

Monitor 1

Monitor 2

Series 1

Series 3

Series 4

Series 1

Series 5

Series 6

The second step displays as follows:

Monitor 2

Series 7

Series 9
