Copying an Image to the Clipboard

Introduction

You can copy a selected image or an image URL to the clipboard, and then paste that image or URL into another application, if that application supports paste operations from the clipboard.

Note:

In Zero Viewer, Synapse does not include annotations or 2D slab thickness when you copy an image.

Steps

  1. Right-click the image to display a context menu.
  2. Do any of the following:

    If you want to ...

    Do this ...

    Use clipboard while accessing server via HTTPS.

    • Select Export > Copy Image.

    Use clipboard while accessing server via HTTP.

    • Select Export > Copy Image. Synapse displays the new window with the copied image
    • Right-click the new image and click copy.

    Use clipboard to copy a URL.

    • Select Export > Copy Image URL.

    Copy the image information .

    Note: Image information contains embedded information about a selected image, such as its accession number, medical record number, and series UID, for display as ASCII text in an application separate from the viewer.

    • Select Export > Copy Image Info. Synapse displays a Copy text dialog box.
  3. Right-click in an application such as PowerPoint and select Paste on the context menu to copy the image, image information, or URL.

Copying a Clipped Image

You can copy a snippet from an image and then paste that snippet, if that application supports paste operations from clipboard.

Note:

In Zero Viewer, Synapse does not include annotations, 2D slab thickness, or 3D view when you copy a clipped image.

Steps

  1. Right-click the image to display a context menu.
  2. Select the Export > Copy Clipped Image. Synapse displays a scissor cursor.
  3. Click to establish the starting point for your snipped area.
  4. Drag to size your snippet.
  5. Click to set the snippet boundary. Synapse displays a pop-up window with the snippet.
  6. Right-click in the snippet and select Copy.
  7. Paste the snippet into any application that accepts paste operations from the clipboard.

    Note:

    The clipboard buffer holds only one image at a time.
