Displaying GSPS Annotation Objects

Introduction

A Grayscale Softcopy Presentation State (GSPS) object is used to display annotations that overlay on a displayed study image. Synapse supports the display of simple graphics, using GSPS annotation objects from third-party vendors. Synapse does not support pixel spacing information in a GSPS object. You will need to verify measurement accuracy when adding new measurements and might need to manually calibrate the image.

  • You can hover over the Presentation State icon to display additional information.
  • There are two options for displaying GSPS annotation objects:
    • One GSPS annotation object.
    • All GSPS annotation objects.
  • A series level DICOM transfer to PACS is not supported.

Note:

  • When both the AI based GSPS/CAD SR and the converted DICOM SEG are available, the Viewer only displays the DICOM SEG as the AI result. The original GSPS/CAD-SR does not display in the Viewer.
  • When you enable 2D slab thickness mode, the GSPS annotations and the GSPS icon no longer display for that viewport until you disable 2D slab thickness mode.
  • If a study has more than 300 GSPS objects associated with the study, the study loads without the GSPS objects. An error message displays when the study first loads. See your System Administrator to determine to if the GSPS objects can be removed from the study.
