Paging and Scrolling with the Mouse
Introduction
If all the images of a study are not simultaneously displayed within a viewport, you can scroll or page through the images. Synapse provides several methods for scrolling through images using a mouse:
- Mouse wheel
- Dynamic Scroll-Rapid: Scroll rapidly through images.
- Dynamic Scroll-Standard: Scroll dynamically through images.
- Dynamic Scroll-Precision: Display each image during Dynamic Scroll.
- Middle Mouse Flywheel (MMF)

If you attempt to use the Double Mouse Button (DMB) operation on a single image series, the mouse switches to Window Level if it was previously selected and the next mode is Dynamic Scroll-Rapid, Dynamic Scroll-Standard, or Dynamic Scroll-Precision. |
Steps
- Select your image.
- Do one of the following:
If you want to do this...
Complete these steps...
Scroll with the mouse wheel.
Move the mouse wheel forward or backward to view the images.
Scroll quickly through a series.
Select one of the following options in mouse properties:
- Dynamic Scroll-Rapid
- Dynamic Scroll-Standard
Scroll rapidly through a series without moving the mouse.
Use Middle Mouse Flywheel. See Using Dynamic Scroll and Middle Mouse Flythrough.
Display each image while scrolling without skipping.
Use Dynamic Scroll-Precision.
Results
Synapse updates the pages. The current page number and total number of pages display on the left corner of the overlay for each image. The image number is on the right corner for each image.

During Dynamic Scroll, some of the text overlays stay hidden until you release the mouse button. |
