Saving and Retrieving Annotations

Introduction

Synapse provides several options for saving and retrieving annotations, viewing other user's annotations, showing or hiding existing annotations, and displaying annotations that are not part of the current view.

Note:

  • When you attempt to save an annotation for a locked Advanced Reporting (AR) study, or another user has saved an annotation (for that study) since you loaded the AR study, Synapse displays a message stating the Annotations were not saved.
  • The Viewer prevents you from saving annotations for prior AR studies.
  • You can only save annotations on MDS studies if the datasource is a Synapse datasource.
