Strain Analysis Overview

Introduction

Synapse supports the integration of the Epsilon ZF tool (ZF) for performing strain analysis in a Synapse viewport on 2D ultrasound (US) images. Strain analysis is an assessment tool used in echocardiography for measuring myocardial function. This functionality is available for current Advanced Reporting (AR) studies only.

Epsilon integration allows you to:

  • Launch the ZF tool to perform a strain analysis from a Synapse viewport.
    • Use the Image View options to label unclassified images or relabel images.
    • View measurement data for each image.
    • Make adjustments to traces.
  • Launch the ZF tool to perform strain analysis on a Secondary Captures created by Epsilon.
    • Adjust prior traces on the original image if the Secondary Captures were derived from a single image.
    • View the Epsilon Summary page for Secondary Captures derived from two or more images.
