Using MPR Tumbling

Introduction

You can rotate the oblique view to gain better vantage points of the anatomical structures within the image.

You can configure your preferred 3D projection when you initially open an MPR series. See Configuring MPR/3D Settings.

Steps

  1. Right-click the image to display a context menu.
  2. Select MPR/3D > MPR On/Off.
  3. Click and hold an axis and move the mouse to rotate (tumble) the oblique view.
  4. Optional: Do any of the following:

    If you want to do this...

    Choose this option...

    Display or hide a tumbling cube with X, Y, and Z axes on the oblique view.

    • Click any of the image orientation markers.

    Scroll to another image without cancelling the tumbling operation.

    • Use the mouse wheel to scroll to another image.

    Change the magnification of an image without cancelling the tumbling operation.

    • Press and hold the Shift key and scroll the mouse wheel.

    Enable or disable the tumbling operation.

    • Right-click the image to display a context menu.
    • Select MPR/3D > Tumbling On/Off.

    Revert to the initial state of the images.

    • Select Tools > Reset Image State.

Results

As you rotate the MPR view, Synapse automatically synchronizes and scrolls the images in the other views.
