Using Synapse 3D in PowerJacket

Introduction

If your study has content that has been sent to or created in Synapse 3D, and the Synapse 3D application is configured for your site, you will see one or more of the following objects listed in the PowerJacket Information pane:

  • Series that exist in Synapse 3D
  • Snapshots created in Synapse 3D
  • Movies created in Synapse 3D
  • Reports created in Synapse 3D
  • Screen captures created in Synapse 3D

Note:

Synapse 3D is an optional software package that can be purchased and used with Synapse and requires a separate license. Synapse 3D is configured for use by your System Administrator.

Steps

  1. Open a study in PowerJacket.
  2. Click to select the Synapse 3D tab in the Information pane of PowerJacket. If you selected Synapse 3D as your default view in PowerJacket Settings, the 3D tab is already open.
  3. If applicable, a list of contents created within Synapse 3D for the study displays. Select 3D images from the list to launch the Synapse 3D application and view the images.
    • Select 3D Snapshots from the list to launch the Synapse 3D application and view the Snapshots.
    • 3D movies open in the appropriate software on your computer, for example, Windows Media Player. Supported file types include: .mpg, .AVI .WMV, and .QT.
    • 3D Viewer reports open in a separate browser window.
  4. Choose any of the following:

If you want to do this...

Choose this option...

Open the Synapse 3D application in a separate window.

Open Synapse 3D.

Copy all of the images displaying in the Synapse 3D pane.

Copy to Synapse 3D.

Note: An image can only be copied to Synapse 3D once. If you or another user has already copied an image, the option to select the image and copy the image again is disabled.

Copy all of the images displaying in the Synapse 3D pane and open Synapse 3D.

Copy and Open to Synapse 3D.

Note:

If your study does not include 3D content, the 3D pane displays without any contents.
