Using the Lock Tools Option on Images

Introduction

After you enable Lock Tools, you can select an image tool to lock for repeated use in the selected viewport or other viewports. If you select a different image tool, the newly selected tool becomes the locked tool. When you log off your workstation, Synapse deactivates the Lock Tools.

You can use the Lock Tools option on the following image tools:

  • 2 point ROI
  • Density Value
  • Ruler
  • Angle
  • Elliptical ROI
  • Spine Label
  • Arrow
  • Freehand ROI
  • Text
  • Bookmark
  • Pan
  • Window Level
  • Circle
  • Polygonal ROI
  • Zoom
  • CTR

  • Rectangular ROI

Steps

  1. To activate the Lock Tools option, right-click the image to display the context menu and select Tools > Lock Tools.
  2. Right-click the image again to display the context menu.
  3. Select the image tool you want to use.
  4. Optional: To deactivate the Lock Tools option, do one of the following:
    • Right-click the image to display a context menu.
    • Click Lock Tools to disable it.

  5. Optional: To keep the Lock Tools enabled and disable the image tool, Press ESC.
    This action allows you to select another image tool while the Lock Tools option is still enabled.
