Viewing Comparison Studies
Introduction
You can easily view next and previous comparison studies in the Viewer based on how you have defined the Auto Compare rules in User Settings.
- If Auto Compare is enabled, the Viewer automatically displays up to six comparison studies when it initially opens. The number of studies that displays is determined by the selection made from the Maximum comparison studies to show list.
- If Auto Compare is not enabled, the Viewer only displays the current study.
Note: |
To equalize the number of images as you scroll when prior studies have differing number of images, Synapse synchronizes the images by using the last image displayed multiple times. |
- Select from the following options.
- Select to display the next comparison study or group of comparison studies.
- Select to display the next comparison study or group of comparison studies.
- Right-click in the Viewer.
- Select Layout Navigation and the applicable option:
- Prev Comparison
- Next Comparison

- When you select the next comparison study, the current exam displays with one prior study.
- When you select the next comparison study again, the next available comparison study displays, replacing the first comparison study.
If you selected three prior comparison studies in User Settings:
- When you select the next comparison study, the current exam displays with three prior studies.
- When you select the next comparison study again, the next set of three comparison studies displays replacing the three prior studies.
If you select the previous study option, it works in the same manner as described above, loading the previously viewed study or set of studies.
