Comparison Study Sort Settings

When you select the Display in rule order option, Synapse identifies candidates for auto comparison using the rules as a hierarchy.

For example, if you select all the Study Selection Rules, Synapse identifies comparison candidates with the Same procedure code first. If there are no comparisons with the same procedure code or the number of comparisons with the same procedure code does not meet the number of comparisons requested, Synapse considers the next setting, Related procedure code and same modality, to determine additional comparison candidates.

This logic continues until the number of comparisons has been met or until no more comparison candidates are identified after checking all of the rules. If you do not select a rule, Synapse will not use that rule in the auto comparison hierarchy.

Select from the following sort options:

Setting

Description

Display in acquired order, most recent to oldest

If enabled, Synapse automatically sorts comparison studies by acquisition date and time, from the most recent study to the oldest study.

Display in acquired order, oldest to most recent
