Viewing Epic Clinical Reports
Introduction
As reports are distributed from Epic, Epic sends an HL7 message with the encoded PDF. When Synapse receives the new HL7 file from Epic, Synapse decodes the PDF, saves it as a PDF, and displays the Report icon in the Worklist and in PowerJacket to indicate a report is available. While you are logged into Synapse, Epic remains open for the next study.
If a report does not exist for an Epic study, the No report available message displays.
