Changing the Window Level
Introduction
You can change the window level (the brightness or the contrast) of an image in several ways.
Exception: |
When you make changes to the Top and Bottom (T: or B:) for a PT study using the window level tool, Synapse remembers the last window level change for PT studies. For example, when you open another PT study, Synapse uses the last window level change. |
Steps
- Right-click the image to display a context
menu.
Note:
If multiple series have the same Frame of Reference (FOR) in the Viewer, Synapse automatically links the series and changes the window level for all linked series when you finish applying window level to a linked series.
- Click Window Level. The cursor changes to a Window Level cursor .
- Click and drag the mouse in the following ways:
- Up to increase brightness
- Down to decrease brightness
- Right to increase contrast
- Left to decrease contrast
Note:
To revert to the original state, click Image Presets > Display As Acquired.
- Optional: Press and hold the ALT key to apply window level to a single series that is linked to other series.
