Comparing the Same Series

Introduction

The Compare Same Series option creates a temporary reading protocol step that displays up to three comparisons for the same series, for a patient in a 1x2, 1x3, or 1x4 layout. For example, if a patient has multiple MG studies, you can create a temporary reading protocol step that compares up to three available RMLO studies for that patient.

Note:

  • You can create multiple compare steps for a study, but only one compare step for each series name.
  • Synapse selects and orders the comparisons based on the most recent study date and time.

This reading protocol step is temporary. However, if you take a Snapshot, this temporary reading protocol step will be available in that Snapshot.

Steps

  1. Select an image in the Viewer that you want to compare with other available studies for your patient.
  2. Right-click the image to display a context menu.
  3. Select Layout Navigation > Compare Same Series.

Results

Synapse displays a temporary reading protocol step that compares the same series name for that patient.
