Exporting Reading Protocols

Introduction

The Export option allows you to export user, system, and factory reading protocols. If you export series-based or procedure-based reading protocols, the same series or procedure data must be in the destination datasource to import these reading protocols.

Note:

You must have the privilege to export reading protocols.

Prerequisite

You must configure your browser to export reading protocols to the location you want. See Configuring Your Browser for Reading Protocol Export.

Path

User Settings > Reading Protocols

Steps

  1. Select one or more reading protocols in the RP Directory to export.
  2. Tip:

    • Use the CTRL or the SHIFT key to select multiple reading protocols.
    • If you export multiple reading protocols at one time, Synapse saves the XML files in a zip file.
  3. Right-click the selected files and select Export from the context menu. Synapse displays an information dialog box: The same series or procedure data must be present in the destination datasource for the import operation to be successful.
  4. Click OK to export the reading protocols.
  5. Save the file to the required location.

Results

Synapse exports the reading protocols to the location defined in your browser settings.
