IntelliLink Overview
Introduction
IntelliLink enables you to navigate to the same reference point in any of the three planes of a study such as a CT, PT, or MR. You can use IntelliLink under the following conditions:
- When the series has the same Frame of Reference (FOR).
- If you enable the Image Registration option. See Automatically Registering CT and RG Series
The reference marker on the images is a crosshair. In Example A, the reference marker shows the same reference point in the sagittal and axial planes of a knee image. When you move the reference marker on the sagittal image, the reference marker on the axial series moves to the same reference point.

When you enable IntelliLink, the reference marker moves in each plane with the same FOR to show the reference point. If the reference point is not on the currently displayed image, Synapse automatically scrolls the image to the closest slice of the reference point.

- Open the User Settings to configure IntelliLink to open IntelliLink automatically when you open a study.
