Link Zoom Pan Overview

Introduction

You can enable Link Zoom Pan in User Settings for all modalities.

When you use Link Zoom Pan, Synapse does the following:

  • If all of the linked series have the same Frame of Reference (FOR) , Synapse bases Link Zoom Pan on the FOR.
  • If the linked series have different FORs, Synapse bases Link Zoom Pan on the Field of View (FOV).
  • Depending on the Link Zoom Pan options you chose in User Settings, Synapse uses Link Zoom Pan for same orientation or different orientations. See Configuring Cross Reference Settings.

Note:

Scale markers might be different sizes if the viewports are different sizes.

For CT, PT, and MR studies, when you enable Link Zoom Pan, zoom and pan are available between 2D and 3D series.

Options for Zoom and Pan

There are two ways to enable zoom and pan:

  • Open the User Settings to configure how link zoom and pan link when you open a study.
  • Use the context menu, Zoom or Pan options, or keyboard shortcuts to change zoom and pan operations for a specific study.

Note:

  • When you click Link Zoom Pan , Synapse enables link zoom pan only for the series in that viewport.
  • When you use the keyboard shortcut CTRL + 4 or the context menu IntelliLink/Scroll > Link Zoom/Pan, Synapse enables or disables link zoom pan for the entire Viewer.
