Printing DICOM Images
Introduction
Synapse provides the ability to print DICOM images to a DICOM printer with consistent image quality output.

Steps
- Right-click the image or series to display a context menu.
- Select Export/Print > DICOM Print from the List menu or from the Icon menu.
- Make the applicable selections in the DICOM Print dialog box for the DICOM printout as described in this table.
- Portrait
- Landscape
- Click in the text box.
- Enter header information.
- Click in the text box.
- Enter footer information.
- All Images in a Series
- Selected Images
- Current Image (default setting)
- Text Overlay (default setting)
- Annotations (default setting)
- Anonymize
- Attempt True Size*
- Masks (default setting)
- Click Page Layout .
- In the Page Layout window, select a layout for the DICOM printout.
- Select the right arrow to display the next page.
- Select the left arrow to display the prior page.
- After you have made all of your selections for the DICOM printout, select Print.
- Optional. Select Cancel to close the DICOM Print dialog box.

Attributes |
Select one or more applicable attributes: * With True Size, the entire image may not be fully printed if the physical size of the image is bigger than the printed area on the film. For additional information about the attributes, see Exporting and Printing Images. |
Page Layout |
Select a page layout: Example: If you select the 2-up page layout and you have two images selected, one image displays in the right tile and the other image displays in the left tile. |

Results
The DICOM printout is spooled to the selected DICOM printer based on the selections made in the DICOM Print dialog box.
