Using Pan Delta

Introduction

You can change the pan position of a single image that is linked to multiple images that have the same Frame of Reference (FOR). This change in the pan position is the pan delta.

Note:

When you customize the drag option for the left, middle, or right mouse button in User Settings for pan options, you cannot use the alt key for pan delta. See Configuring Mouse Settings

Steps

  1. Select the image that you want to pan.
  2. Right-click the image to display a context menu.
  3. Select Pan.
  4. Press and hold the ALT key.
  5. Press and hold the mouse button.
  6. Move the mouse in any direction to pan the image.
  7. Release the ALT key and then the left-mouse button. This change of position is the pan delta.

Results

When you pan any of the linked images, all the images move but maintain the pan delta.

If you take a Snapshot of the linked images with a pan delta, Synapse maintains the pan delta. If you use the Reset Image State option, Synapse resets the pan delta to the last saved state. See Using Reset Image State.
