Measuring Velocity

Introduction

Use the Velocity option to measure velocity at a particular point on a spectral Doppler image that is a result of a two-point trace with one point on the spectral baseline.

Steps

  1. Right-click the image to display a context menu.
  2. Select Annotations > Velocity.
  3. Place the cursor in the image at the position where you want to measure velocity.
  4. Click once to establish the velocity measurement point.
  5. Optional: After you create a Velocity annotation, you can delete or move the annotation. See Manipulating Annotations.

Results

As you complete the annotation, Synapse displays the velocity and gradient annotation values in an ordered list in the Results overlay. Hover over an annotation in the Results overlay to highlight the annotation in the image.

Additional Options

Click Velocity on the icon menu.
