Results Overlay Overview

Introduction

The Results overlay is an ordered list of annotations performed on an ultrasound (US) image. Synapse includes the Results overlay in the Grayscale Softcopy Presentation State (GSPS) for an image when you export an image.

As you perform annotations and protocol steps on an US image, the Results overlay displays a list of labeled values that includes primary and secondary measurement annotations.

Initially, Synapse displays the Results overlay in the lower right corner of the current image. If there are no annotations on the current image or frame, the Results overlay does not display.

Calibrated Annotations

Annotations on a manually calibrated image display as an asterisk in the Results overlay. See Calibrating the Ruler.

How Synapse Displays the Results Overlay

Synapse simultaneously displays the Results overlay on each tile in the viewport.

  • When a series is comprised of single-frame images, the location of the Results overlay can be different for each tile.
  • When you view a multiframe image in tiles, the location of the Results overlay is the same for every frame.

Highlight Color

When you hover over an annotation in the Results overlay, the annotation is highlighted in the image and displays the Results overlay label. The Results overlay highlight color is determined by the Focus border color. See Colors Settings.
