Measuring Area

Introduction

Use the Area option to measure the area within a set of points that forms an enclosed drawing in an ultrasound image.

Steps

  1. Right-click the image to display a context menu.
  2. Select Annotations > Area.
  3. Place the cursor in the image at the position where you want to begin drawing the Area annotation.
  4. Click once to create the first control point and click again to create subsequent control points. Note: If you position a subsequent control point too close to the first point, the annotation drawing automatically encloses the area drawing.
  5. Right-click to complete the annotation. The Area annotation automatically encloses the measurement drawing.
  6. Optional: After you create an Area annotation, you can delete the annotation or click and drag the control points to reposition them, but you cannot move the Area annotation or add or remove control points. See Manipulating Annotations.

Results
